TECHNICAL TIP 

Installing a pre-programmed FICM on an engine that does not have a current ECM calibration or matching reference number could cause catastrophic engine failure. If assistance is needed to verify ECM calibration status, please contact Technical Support at 800.735.9775. When ordering a FICM, supplying the ECM reference number is required and can be located under the ‘vehicle information’ tab (image shown on right) in ServiceMaxx™. Make sure the old FICM is plugged into the engine harness in order to obtain the last 8 characters of the ECM reference number. If the ECM reference numbers are not displayed with the FICM plugged in, the FICM is damaged and will require an unprogrammed Alliant Power FICM AP65125.
